Children Cries for Peace: International Peace Day with schools in Juba in September 2015

December 25, 2018

ONAD, in cooperation with the State Ministry of Education of Central Equatoria State and with support from Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and Swedish Fellowship of Reconciliation (SweFOR) invited children from different schools in Juba to make their voices  heard during the International Day of Peace on September 2, 2015, at an event at Bilal Ibin Rabah Primary School in Juba, South Sudan: Children have a right to a decent education, good health and a bright future, and they were begging and crying for peace, because when violence persists, they are deprived of these rights.  At Bilal Ibin Rabah Primary school, one of the Peace Clubs facilitated by ONAD is active.
